Today is Remembrance Sunday and our Parish Communion begins at 9.30 am. Following the Service we will gather in Market Place for the Act of Remembrance at 10.50 am.
We will be joined by Pastors Ralf and Sabine Ohainski from our linked Parish of Flothe in the Lutheran Diocese of Braunschweig in Germany.
At 11.20 am there is a Civic Service of Remembrance at which our preacher will be Deacon Bill Mitton from the Roman Catholic Church.


* On Monday the Bible Study Group will meet at Marion’s to study the fifth commandment. If you would like to come please ring June Challis on 864534.

* On Wednesday we will have the fourth session of the Diocesan Study Course Generosity Gift and Grace, which will run for five weeks. Refreshments will be available from 6.45 pm with the study beginning at 7.30 pm. There is no charge for the course materials which can be collected from the back of church but please sign the list to let us know you plan to attend.

+ The funeral of Howard Horsfall will take place on Wednesday at 2.00 pm in St.Hilda’s Church Carleton.

* Next Saturday there will be a Quiz Night with supper & raffle at St Hilda’s Church Hall commencing at 6.30 pm. Tickets are £5 & available from Revd Lois, Lindsay Mason, Lynne Brackpool or Penny Waters. All proceeds will be going to Hope Community Church Kidz Klub on Grange Park

+ Next Sunday there will be a United Service at Carleton to celebrate the Shared Church of St.Martin and St.Hilda’s. The Service begins at 3.00 pm and falls between the feasts of our patron saint which both fall in November.
Please join us for the Service which is followed by refreshments.
